Walker Bay and the Hemel-en-Aarde valley nearby the whale-watching town of Hermanus, is a relatively recent addition to South Africa’s exciting wine topography, with great potential for cooler climate styles not commonly found elsewhere in the country.
A lovely half-translucent pink onion skin-coloured wine, with aroma of rose, straw, and a touch of strawberry and lemon flower. Minerality is reminiscent of Himalayan mountain salt, flavour contains strawberry, rasberry, cherry, which the finish has a contrasting honeyed elemnt. The grapes were fermented without malolactic fermentation, and matured on the lees for 2 months.
